Boom

I love the Boston Pops 4th of July Spectacular: the 1812 Overture, the Stars and Stripes kick lines, but most of all I love the fireworks.  I usually view the fireworks from the banks of the Charles but this year I tried a new location.  The view was pretty amazing, especially for the new pyrotechnics along the Mass Ave Bridge.  However, I felt a little detached from the experience.  I guess I need to be close enough to smell the gunpowder and feel the booms! Pictures rarely do fireworks justice but I couldn’t resist snapping a few shots.  Hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th!
