Autumn Wedding

When Lauren and Bob asked me to photograph their October wedding, I was honored! They totally lucked out with a beautiful, unseasonably warm day-perfect for some outdoor shots at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bedford before the ceremony. The ceremony and reception were held at the delicious Dayla’s Restaraunt nearby (I highly recommend the risotto, yum!). The whole day was filled with laughter and dancing…and some amazing ice cream sundaes. I was happy to be part of all the fun! Congrats Lauren and Bob

Tea for Two

I recently attended a baby shower for my good friend Caitlin at Teaism in Old Town Alexandria. The details were too cute not to share! The hostesses did a great job with the adorable animal theme and the food was all delicious. I especially loved the favors from my beloved Georgetown Cupcake! Barnyard Birthday

I recently had the pleasure of attending Miss P’s second birthday party at the Lil Folk Farm in Holliston. It was a beautiful day and the kiddos had a great time petting the animals, riding the ponies and running around the barn. P’s birthdays are always so stylish-I loved the farm animal cupcakes and adorable faux tattoos. I can’t wait for next year!

One Year Blogiversary

It’s hard to believe a year ago today I created my first Blog post!

In that time I have had the pleasure of working with many great families and adorable children while traveling to some gorgeous locations and planning different shoots. Most importantly, with every shoot I learned something new. I thought it would be fun to celebrate with a delicious Georgetown Cupcake and revisit some of the images I posted over the year.

I’m already looking forward to my 2nd Blogiversary to see what adventures I will capture in the next year! If you want to be a part of them, let me know :-)

Luke Aaron Backstage

A lot of hard work goes into putting together a runway show, especially when it is showcasing a bridal collection. The hair and makeup team from Camille Albane did a beautiful job matching the romance and sophistication of the Luke Aaron gowns, tailoring each look perfectly to the accompanying dress.

However, it wasn’t all work and no play backstage. The models had a great time playing dress up in the gorgeous dresses and accessories. One exclaimed that she felt like Cinderella as she slipped on her gloves. Even though the prep can take a bit of effort, the results of the show were well worth it!

Luke Aaron Party Pics

Before the Luke Aaron bridal runway show at the BSA Space last week there was a chic reception catered by Broadway Gourmet. Everything looked beautiful and delicious, especially those adorable pink macarons!

The stylish attendees sampled the treats, toasted champagne, and checked out the surrounding artwork before taking their seats for the show. The DJ set the mood early starting off with chill beats and building to a more party-like atmosphere. I may have busted one or two moves in front of the step and repeat

Happy Birthday Grace

It is crazy to think little Grace is already one! Mom Julie asked if I would shoot Grace’s First Birthday Party and I was more than happy to do so. I enjoy shooting Grace because her joy is infectious. I took many pictures at her party and I swear she was smiling or laughing in almost every shot! It is hard not to smile along with her.

While I do love shooting portraits where you can control the lighting and poses and rework shots when things aren’t quite right, there is something magical about candid shots. They may not end up being the cleanest images but catching sweet moments like cousins sharing a laugh or a grandfather helping with a bottle are better to me than anything posed and perfected in the studio.

Phoebe’s First

It is hard to believe Phoeobe is already turning one! It seems like just yesterday we were shooting her adorable holiday card images where she could barely even sit on her own. Even then Miss P loved the camera and at her pretty pink and orange themed Phoebe-Q she was the star of the show. No detail was overlooked at this party with adorable kiddie cake pops, tiny pink whoopie pies, orange frosted cupcakes featuring the guest of honor and the most gorgeous smash cake I have ever seen (I was so relieved Phoebe had no interest in actually smashing that amazing cake!). The weather had been a bit dicey in the morning but it ended up being such a beautiful day to celebrate with Phoebe’s fantastic family and friends. Miss P is a very lucky girl to be surrounded by such love!
