]]> Once revived by hot chocolate and pastries from Angelina, we headed to Musee d’Orsay.  Set in an old train station and filled with many of my favorite impressionist works, this museum was the one I enjoyed the most.

From there we went to Sainte-Chapelle to see the stunning stained glass windows and Conciergerie, the surprisingly beautiful prison where Marie Antoinette spent her final days.  On our way back to the hotel, we stopped at Notre Dame to take a look inside which was a beautiful and moving experience.

]]> We got an early start and made our way along the Seine to the Louvre.  Even though we arrived before the museum opened there was already quite a crowd forming.  Thankfully we had our Museum Passes so we were able to bypass much of the line (Pro-tip: get the Paris Museum Pass!).  We made a beeline for the Venus DeMilo and Mona Lisa (sadly, Winged Victory was out on loan) which was a good move because when when we swung back later Mona’s gallery was completely packed.

After the crowds became too much for us to handle we stopped by Angelina on Rue di Rivoli for some of the best hot chocolate I’ve ever had and relaxed in the beautiful Jardin des Tuileries.
